Generational Marketing

Cohorts, or most people in the same age group, tend to share a siginificant number of experiences, goals, values (especially so in their late teens and early twenties). Cohorts tend to travel in time–through their lives–with similar feelings & values, many of which help them make choices about items & services that might interest them and that they buy.

“Every generation has a language all its own” â„¢. Speak only to one age cohort group, and you exclude all others. And talking to a middle-ground is not the answer either. At Evergreen, we employ the wisdom of generational and lifestage marketing to help clients segment and fine-tune their messaging to the age cohort and preferences of its intended audience.

The four cohort groups below are part of our Evergreen Cohort Matrix that defines the fine points of these four cohort groups that make up the mature population; these points include cohort origins & history, likes/dislikes, “heroes”, key landmarks, keywords as  related to their interests, etc.
